Specialisation
Main area of practice is for claimant personal
injury victims. Has acted for emergency service workers and steel
workers who have suffered injuries in the workplace.
Developed one of the first corporate killing units in the UK and has
advised both trades unions and family members in fatal accident cases.
He also advises on professional negligence
issues and has acted as an expert witness for the Office for the Supervision
of Solicitors. He also acts as a consultant to law firms on business
and online issues.
Professional Memberships
A member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel and the Association
of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Career
Qualified in 1989 and joined the national law firm RJW the same
year. He was a partner from 1994 and managed their Birmingham office
until May 2002 before setting up Forum Law. He is listed in the
Independent Chamber's Guide to the Legal Profession 2004/05 as a
"leader in his field" and by the Lawyer Magazine as a
personal injury lawyer to watch out for in the millennium.
Publications
He is the author of Manual Handling Law and Litigation,
1998, and Health and Safety Law: A Modern Guide, 2002, Emis Legal
Publishing. He has also published several articles relating to personal
injury and health and safety law and frequently lectures to practitioners.
