Forum Law has a dedicated Travel Litigation team dealing with a wide variety of cases, from trips and slips in public places, to accidents on board cruise ships, trains or aeroplanes to road traffic accidents. These accidents may occur whilst on holiday or even a business trip abroad.

The ‘language barrier’ can sometimes interfere with Claimants being able to pursue a claim abroad, but at Forum Law we have competencies in French, German, Spanish and Portuguese languages.

At Forum Law, our team is experienced in identifying the appropriate jurisdiction for a claim and applicable limitation periods which can vary significantly across the world dependant upon the circumstances and location of the accident. For example, if you become ill or injured during a package holiday, it may well be that the appropriate jurisdiction is in fact England and Wales by virtue of The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992. However, an accident in a hotel complex in Spain whilst on an independent holiday, would probably be pursued in Spain.

We are proud to have lawyers who are members of the prestigious Pan European Personal Injury Association.
